Francis Wan

One of the most exciting and talented guitarists to watch on the music scene in recent years, Francis Wan released his album Opus One to great acclaim in 2012.

Francis encountered the guitar at the age of 13 and soon began to show great promises in the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival, racking up five First Prizes in three consecutive years. After graduating from high school, he was accepted by the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts’s Diploma in Music to major in Guitar Performance under the tutelage of Tina K. Lo, and later on completed his Bachelor of Music programme with full scholarship.

Over the years, Francis has given countless solo recitals and has been invited to perform as a soloist by the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra and the Hong Kong Sinfonietta Orchestra. Apart from performing, he is active in popular and film music recording, and had appeared as guest performer at various pop concerts and TV shows.
