Marsha Chow has a passion for pipe organ music of any genre and style. An active figure on the local music scene, she has collaborated with various orchestras and choirs.
She graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong with a degree in organ music before she furthered her organ studies at the Royal College of Music in London, and was awarded a Master’s degree together with the Walford Davies Prize.
While studying in the UK, she participated in many performances open to the public, including the Hadyn Festival at Hanover Square, London, and another as part of the concert series at St. Michael’s, Cornhill. She was also the organ scholar at Bromley Parish Church.
She has been actively involved in music activities in Hong Kong, with notable performances in collaboration with the World Youth Choir, at the World Council of YMCAs etc..Currently performing as a freelance musician, Chow is often invited to perform with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra etc. To inspire youngsters to explore the organ, she delivers a series of Educational Organ Concerts in the Hong Kong Culture Centre every year. Since 2014, she has also been invited to Singapore and China to host Educational Organ Concerts, to promote organ music in Asia.
In the field of church music, Chow works closely with the Hong Kong Church Music Association and Sacred Singers in concerts, workshops and events in different cities of mainland China, as well as Hong Kong and Singapore.
