Shan Lili

Shan Lili is a talented young drummer of the Kunqu Opera Theatre of the Jiangsu Performing Arts Group. A native of Nanjing in Jiangsu, he is currently the Deputy Leader of the Group’s accompanying ensemble. He joined the Kunqu Opera Theatre of the Jiangsu Performing Arts Group in 2002, and since then, has been serving as the leader in percussive point cues in the major productions such as The Peony Pavilion, The Mistake Caused by a Kite, The White Silk Gown, A Miraculous Double Reunion, The Story of the Jade Hairpin etc. He has also devised and created percussion accompaniment for Wei Liangfu the Sage of Kunqu, I, Hamlet, and excerpts from The Dream of the Red Chamber. He was on the drum in performances given by the famous actors Cai Zhengren, Shi Xiaomei, Ke Jun, Lin Hongliang, Shi Xiaming and Shan Wen.
